LONDON YARD
Bryce Harper always seems to be the ultimate equalizer, and this was fully evident in Game 1 of the MLB London Series 2024 when the Phillies defeated the Mets. Harper not only gave the Phillies the energy and spark they needed, but he also meticulously planned his iconic viral celebration. Knowing exactly what he would do if he'd go yard with a home run in London, Harper stepped on home plate to cement his 321st MLB home run and ran towards the Phillies bench, performing a classic Futbol slide celebration. This gesture paid homage to the rich Futbol history specific to London Stadium. Harper was heard shouting, "I love soccer!" after his celebration, sparking immediate attention around the baseball world and adding yet another iconic moment to his already legendary career. Thus, like any incredible moment, this piece had to be made, allowing fans to appreciate this moment for years to come!
Original art piece by Jordan Spector.
