October 23, 1993. That was the day Joe Carter made my twelve-year-old-self cry uncontrollably for hours on end by dashing the World Series title hopes of one of my all-time favorite Phillies teams with a game winning 3-run homer off of Wild Thing Mitch Williams. From that moment on I stopped believing in Santa Claus, traded my Little League glove in for a paper route, and realized what a cold, cruel world it is in which we live.
Phuck Joe Carter for stealing my innocence and ruining the childhood of an entire generation of young Phillies fans born in the early 80s.

My husband wore this last week when we went to the Louisville Slugger factory in KY and he had so many people stop him and share their trauma. It was so healing for many dudes.
Joe Carter is the biggest villain of my childhood. Fregosi had Tommy Greene and Schilling warming up in the pen but chose to bring in the Wild Thing when everyone in Skydome and watching on TV knew his arm was shot. No way Carter would have gone bridge off Greene or Schilling. Fregosi f*cked up. Mitch had no business being in that situation. Carter can eat a bag of dicks. Oh yea, and this is a high quality shirt and the wording says it all.
.....and most of my damn adulthood as well!!
Wild Thing hung an pitch, & he didn't miss it....still brings a tear to my eye.
Very creative design, printing seems sturdy. One issue is that the shirt brand is one I have seen from less expensive shirt sites.
Baseball fans of all stripes will know what this shirt means whether a Phillies fan or not. Instantly strike up a conversation of shared tales of childhood trauuma
