Philadelphia is the birthplace of freedom, and this design, inspired by Philly’s LGBTQ+ community celebrates all people’s freedom to live how they want, to love who they want, and to be who they were meant to be, no matter their skin color or their sexual orientation. Philly revamped the traditional six-color rainbow Pride flag in 2017 by adding a black and brown stripe to bring attention to the issues experienced by people of color, and we've brought the "more colors, more pride" flag into the iconic Liberty Bell as an homage to our great, progressive City.
