There’s no shortage of eclectic and offbeat cool in Fishtown. The working-class neighborhood, named for its history as the epicenter of the commercial shad-fishing industry, has emerged in recent years as one of Philly’s main hubs of artistic, culinary and musical action. Fishtown is home to a vibrant nightlife, gastropubs, beer gardens, and a plethora of Indie bands. Let’s just say that Brooklyn wishes it was Fishtown.
