Here at Philly Goat: Movie Time, we’re not afraid to deliver controversial opinions on classic boxing films set in Philadelphia. Here’s my list of the Top 5 Classic Boxing Films Set in Philadelphia.

1. Rocky (1976)
Rocky Balboa is here and he’s ready to punch his opponent! What a classic.

2. Rocky II (1979)
Rocky Balboa is back and he’s ready to punch his opponent! Absolute classic sequel to a classic.

3. Rocky III (1982)
Rocky Balboa returns one more time and Hulk Hogan, too!

4. Rocky IV (1985)
Rocky Balboa defends his country and then wishes his son a Merry Christmas. The Soviets agree to change their ways. Carl Weathers fans, bring a hanky!

5. Rocky Balboa (2006)
Rocky Balboa is old and he’s here to fight one final time until Creed comes out in November. Full-disclosure: I did not see this film, but I heard it was good.
